Our Mission

Seattle Derby Brats empowers female and gender expansive youth to be strong, healthy and confident. We do this through a supportive, inclusive community teaching junior roller derby.

Why Roller Derby?

Derby skaters gain lasting benefits on and off the track.

Derby teaches skaters valuable life skills, like handling disappointments, taking personal responsibility for mistakes, and reflecting on personal improvement goals.

It is a school-year long sport.

Also, it is fun to play and watch!

Why Seattle Derby Brats?

• We are the only girls and gender expansive league in the greater Seattle area

• We have our own two-track roller derby warehouse where we host practices and games

• Our community emphasizes positive coaching and this is amplified throughout our league 

• We have incredible coaches who truly know and love the sport

Seattle Derby Brats does not interfere with the privacy of its players. Cisgender, transgender, and non-binary/ gender diverse players are eligible to make their own choices to join JRDA Girls Division based on their own self-identification and comfort.
